Welcome to the August-September 2015 issue of Shine On Hollywood Magazine (“SOHM”)! With the fall season just around the corner and as the summer season sings its final swan song, we are reminded that change is inevitable. However, each change, as with the seasons, can bring new types of excitement. We are fortunate here in Hollywood to live in a place where each season brings new forms of entertainment. Just as the hot, sexy summer parties around sparking pools come to a close, the glamourous film award season is ushered in. Moreover, the lives that have changed and shaped Hollywood have also brought the world brilliance in film, music, art and fashion. This month our focus is on “Top Music Industry Professionals!” These individuals entertain, inspire and enhance the condition of our lives and we are proud to include them in our SOHM family.

This month's cover story pays tribute to an extraordinary individual that has touched our hearts and soul: Andy Fraser. Not only was he an amazing talent, the chief architect of a signature blue-rocks style that has influenced generations of rock n’ roll artists, but he was also a true humanitarian. You won’t want to miss out reading this inspirational story.

This edition also features Vladimir Khomyakov. A truly gifted and magnificent pianist, scholar and teacher who continues to win prestigious classical music competitions the world over. He has road-tested advice for those interested in pursuing classical music.

In addition, this issue also features Allan Rich, an internationally acclaimed songwriter who has written numerous hits including Whitney Houston’s iconic “Run to You” from the romantic thriller, “The Bodyguard.” Finally, we are proud to feature the multi-talented, Claudja Barry, considered to be one of the first ladies of disco. Shine On Hollywood Magazine exceeds 17 million global clicks, and asks for pay-it-forward contributions for its formerly free digital publication, to succeed in spreading positive messages from Hollywood to the globe.

August 12, 2014-Hollywood, CA- Shine On Hollywood Magazine (SOHM) shares stories of triumph and success in the entertainment industry, and after releasing two years of free digital issues, the founder and publisher Arnold Garcia is asking for contributions. When asked why, Garcia has several reasons. On it’s two-year anniversary, SOHM has grown globally. Europe, Asia and Latin America have according to views, become addicted to SOHM. There are over 130,000 likes on Facebook, and when Hollywood magazine is searched for on the Internet, SOHM is in the top three hits. To further this momentum funds are now vital to the company.

There are also future plans. There will be an interactive webcast with celebrities, the discovery of global talent, translation into different languages, and interviews with high-end celebrities. All plans need funding. Money is needed to give hope to the undiscovered, to allow celebrities to share their experience to the audience, and to tell the public that Hollywood is not about negativity, he says. Sharing to Garcia means giving and receiving talent between each party. He says that it is what the real Hollywood should be about. 

To Garcia, sharing also means putting out endless hours to create a spark not often seen in Hollywood magazines, the human touch, the passion that commonality exists, and that any individual can thrive and succeed in life. Garcia wants to always show how talent can give back to the community through experience, teaching, and sharing stories of achievement. He passionately believes that for the public to share by contribution is to also feel that human touch.

Hollywood, CA - The February 2014 issue of Shine on Hollywood Magazine (SOHM) brings inspiration and creative movement from four top black professionals. We found no shortage of brilliance and narrowed our focus on the fields of entertainment, education and community service. This month's cover story features THE INCOMPARABLE FLOYD SNEED, LEGENDARY DRUMMER FOR THE TOP ROCK GROUP THREE DOG NIGHT. He shares his experience about the road to fame and the recognition of his peers by being awarded fourteen gold and platinum albums. A man of many talents, Floyd reveals his love for painting and gets us up-to-date on his latest projects. 

This month's issue also features J. CURTIS WARNER, JR., EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE RENOWNED BERKLEE CITY MUSIC PROGRAM. While considered the architect of the music program, he brings inner city school students from around the country and prepares them for a successful journey to higher education and beyond.  A story sure to inspire!  This issue also features SHEIA “O”, A SUCCESSFUL TALK SHOW HOST AND MUCH SOUGHT-AFTER RED-CARPET INTERVIEWER. Dear Friends,

You might not have known but Shine on Hollywood Magazine partnered with the US Global Business Forum for a conference at the Anaheim Convention Center on Saturday, September 7th. The main focus on the all day expo was to promote ‘Global Peace through Global Trade’. This was the 8th Annual Global Business Expo to have taken place in Southern California.

Our publisher, Arnold Garcia and Kevin Kaul of the USGBF joined forces to spotlight the growth of trade throughout the world and the advances of technology which allows the free market to prosper.  We were able to learn the State of California is considered by many at the conference as an active participant in the growth and expansion of burgeoning markets around the world. By example, the African continent has made impressive strides in elevating its goals for an active economy through trade with California. The cooperation of nations and entrepreneurs in this region has accelerated growth in income.  The ‘Global Peace through Global Trade’ initiative offers the opportunity to increase the standard of living in depressed areas.

While there were formidable dignitaries and government figures represented at the conference, Shine on Hollywood Magazine was able to provide a relaxing atmosphere, by its role as the originator of the entertainment for the entire business gathering. Along side with music groups and individual artists, a contingent of notable celebrities lined the Red Carpet. The expo featured groups from divergent locales to meet on a day to foster the camaraderie that ‘Global Peace through Global Trade’ is a concept and a message that can excite the entire world.

By happenstance both Messrs. Garcia and Kaul were met to carry out this year’s conference by the addition of entertainment to the festivities. While the focus of Shine on Hollywood Magazine spotlights the entertainment industry, the desire to include celebrities helped to recognize that everyone from all walks of life profoundly agree, that peace can be promoted when all of us work together.

As an advisor to Mr. Garcia, I am proud of his participation at this conference, even though this event is unique and outside of the parameters of the magazines’ focus on personalities in entertainment. Nonetheless, any effort to elevate the plight of those in poverty, to end the misunderstandings among nations and to seek solutions to bring peace throughout the world, these noteworthy examples were displayed as the basis for the 8th Annual Global Business Expo. With this emphasis in mind, the gathering was indeed a great success!
